A quick update from The Cable Show – Day 2

There’s not a lot of time today to write a proper update. However, in spite of IBC, MIPCOM and MipTV being much larger shows then The Cable Show, we don’t have Hulk Hogan and Ron Jeremy plugging our broadcasters offerings in Europe. More tomorrow….

Introducing Movida

We’re very excited to tell you about Movida…

Movida is the biggest thing we’ve done since we started the company. It’s a product which we think has the ability to completely change the way in which broadcasters and VOD Service operators manage their VOD Services.

Movida manages rights, scheduling and metadata in a beautiful, highly automated way.

There’s more information on our website at http://bebanjo.com/movida and here’s a 4 minute video that tells you everything you need to know:

Movida for TV Channels
Movida makes the management of Catch-Up VOD Services a breeze . In the US catch-up is more commonly known as TV Everywhere.

E.g. If you missed Lost on your TV channel, you can view it on several VOD services a day later.

In order to make this a reality, a TV Channel needs to track rights and manage scheduling and metadata for each episode/title on each of the platforms on which it distributes its content. Many channels either do this manually using Excel sheets/Emails etc., or with a combination of legacy systems.

In Movida it’s all based on rules, where you set a rule for rights and scheduling for a platform once, and then Movida automatically takes care of the rest. Movida can even export rights, scheduling and metadata automatically to each VOD distribution platform when using our API’s.

In practice this means that Movida dramatically increases a VOD team’s productivity. It enables them to focus on reaching a wider audience and generate more revenues from their existing content rights.

Movida for VOD Operators

Movida ensures that you have an up to date overview of your rights across all platforms, devices and business models.

You can find more information about Movida on our new website at: http://bebanjo.com/movida

Movida has a sexy, user-friendly interface, that lets you schedule library, archive and acquired content with ease and helps to ensure that no rights are underutilized.

It enables you to distribute your schedule, rights information and metadata to multiple platforms automatically

Official Movida launch at The Cable Show/NCTA

We will officially launch Movida at the Cable Show (NCTA) in Los Angeles next week. Of course we’ll do it the BeBanjo way by throwing a cocktail party with margherita’s and mojito’s. I’ll be blogging about our progress in LA, so please stay tuned for that.

If you happen to be at the Cable Show/ LA and are interested in meeting up for a demo, please get in touch with me at bastian@bebanjo.com

If you want to join us for a cocktail at the launch, please get in touch too.

In VOD we trust

We’ve been busy bees at BeBanjo for the past six months. Let me give you the key highlights of what we’ve done during this time:

  • We’re cash flow neutral now!
  • We’ve been developing and preparing for the launch of our second product: Movida. More on that very soon.
  • As part of the launch of Movida, our new product, we’ve got a new corporate website and image which you can see at http://bebanjo.com
  • We’ve been talking to several external investors about accelerating our growth through investment. Lot’s of dialogue, but no concrete results yet…
  • We’re on the verge of bringing in some very very exciting new customers.
  • We’ve renewed our deal with our US partners Accord Media Group, and we have great hopes of breaking into the US market with our products.
  • We’re bringing a new person on board who will join the team to focus on all aspects of our application’s and company’s look and image. More news soon.

So, exciting times for BeBanjo! We’ll be blogging more in the near future to share our adventures with you.

Go well.

BeBanjo – Welcome to Sequence

Sequence

It’s a big week for BeBanjo. We are formally launching Sequence, our solution to manage your media operations more efficiently.

We’ve been working on this for quite a while now. Sequence was built in very close collaboration with our friends at Telefonica Servicios Audiovisuales, one of the main facilities companies in Spain. They’re using Sequence to manage their Imagenio IPTV service that goes out to more then 600.000 customers.

More recently we’ve brought BSkyB on board. They’re using Sequence to manage a variety of multi-platform TV services around the Sky Player platform.

All of this has culminated today in a couple of announcements:

  • First that we’re formally launching Sequence (press release)
  • Second that Sky is announcing that it’s chosen Sequence to help manage the workflow of its Sky Player platform (press release)

We’ve also launched a brand new BeBanjo.com website that contains a lot of information to help prospective clients to evaluate Sequence:

  • A three minute “What’s Sequence” video produced by Riot Cinema Collective.
  • A five minute walkthrough of Sequence
  • An FAQ
  • Pricing information

Over the next few days we’ll be inviting 100 companies from all over the world to take Sequence for a spin. Hopefully they’ll like it. We’ll keep you updated on that.

All of this will be communicated through a press campaign over the coming days/weeks.

Behind the scenes, we’ll continue to work hard on other exciting features and products. We’ll keep you in the loop right here on the blog and on BeBanjo.com

Have a nice summer.

Bastian and Jorge
